• Responsible for carrying out the RCA (root cause analysis) of the problems & their trouble shooting that arise during the normal operation of the unit.• Monitoring and controlling of Boiler and Turbine parameters on DCS (Distributed Control System) and NCS (Network Control System).• Promptly respond to alarms, alerts, and emergencies by taking appropriate actions to mitigate potential risks, maintain safety, and minimize downtime.• Ensure corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance programs are identified and implemented.• Possess extensive knowledge about firefighting system of power plant including NFS2-3030 intelligent fire alarm control system, use of different kinds of fire extinguisher, first aid method (CPR), self-contained air breathing apparatus (SCABA).• Responsible for the isolation of the systems & implementing the safety measures needed for the maintenance team to carry out maintenance activities safely.• Provide support in Planning, scheduling & execution of routine maintenance and annual turnaround jobs.• Practice emergency accident handling, blackout drill and routine operations on simulator.• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, safety standards, and company policies, providing feedback and recommendations for improvements where necessary.• Implement the Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) system as per company regulations.• Ensure strict implementation of the PTW system according to management standards.

• Prepare and execute Thermal and Electrical Operation tickets according to the requirements of the work permit. • Continuously monitor and oversee the operation of various equipment and systems within the control room, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and under established standards.• Maintain accurate and detailed records of operations, incidents, and equipment status, and report any deviations, abnormalities, or issues to supervisors.• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of activities.• Conduct routine equipment checks, inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks to identify any potential issues and ensure equipment remains in good working condition. • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions and maintain the efficiency of the control room operations.• Engage in ongoing training and development to stay updated on new technologies, procedures, and best practices relevant to control room operations

• Conscientiously implement safety production policy of “safety first, focusing on prevention and integrated control” and implement relevant regulations of the company.• Strict implementation of PTW system and Shift change over management system to ensure no violation of regulations and discipline occurs.• Carry out risk spot investigation, hazard source identification, evaluation activities and formulation, and implementation of hidden danger investigation and management.• To learn critical systems of Boiler and it’s auxiliaries, Turbine and it’s auxiliaries like Feed water system, Condensate system, Main steam and Reheat system, and coal pulverizing system etc.• Perform line tracing of system diagrams to learn on site location of important equipments and valves.• Act as bridge between Control room and on site operations during unit startups,shutdown and load changes as per NPCC command • Carry out routine inspection of different equipments such as pumps, fans, coal mills, Air-preheater, turbine, generator and 500KV switchyard etc.• Perform on site defect analysis and report to shift engineer to avoid any accident.
