Portland, Oregon Area

• SCRAP PDX is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization responsible for removing over 9 tons of garbage from landfill on average per month. People and businesses donate art supplies and creatively interpretable materials that.
• Materials Recovery is responsible for physically receiving and processing donations– then preparing said donation to be sold individually in the store.
• Open and close the store, answer customer questions, organize/reorganize the store, improve the system for the store and donation center as a whole.

• Modern Usage is an extracurricular interview publication comprised of student interviews with artists and designers visiting different departments at RISD.
• Initially contacted to design the publication, was soon working on all aspects of the project as a third director.
• Conducted interviews with visiting designers, coordinated with administrative persons, faculty and speakers to arrange interview time during short visiting schedules, designed & developed a website for publishing.

• Part of a selective, application-only group of students that design websites, posters, and identities for Providence community organizations.
• Designed identities and promotional materials for “notorious” annual RISD events like Artist Ball– as well as posters and digital assets for shows, lectures, conventions, readings, etc. happening locally at Brown.

Providence, Rhode Island

• Assisted in teaching first-year Design Studio, Intro to Computation, and numerous RISD Pre-College design studio courses.
• Helped students learn and troubleshoot software programs, basic JavaScript, and fabrication techniques through class presentations, demonstrations, and bi-weekly TA hour sessions.
• Organized end-of-semester shows of students work, provided one-on-one support and thoughtful critique for every student, and shared insight about student life at RISD for Pre-College students, as well as undergraduate.

Providence, Rhode Island

• 2nd Life is a student-run store in downtown Providence for buying and donating used art supplies and materials.
• Created a comfortable environment for customers to ask questions and feel welcome in the “unconventional” store.
• Assumed manager responsibilities following the resignation of the store’s full-time alumni manager. This included: hiring, book-keeping, holding staff meetings, creating store procedure and training documents, as well.

Providence, Rhode Island

Created a safe and inclusive living environment for students in the RISD Pre-college program. Was a mentor to students, planned weekly programming, chaperoned trips and large programs, completed nightly curfew procedures, documented incident reports, completed administrative tasks, mediated student conflicts, upheld handbook rules and regulations.
