I also massage PowerBI dashboard and excel data to provide profit trends. I also act as the ANZ focal point for the Mölnlycke Portal tool, a Procedure Packs management system supporting customers and stakeholders in education and technical queries.

Running the staff support operations for an office of 120+ is an everyday challenge. From making sure we meet the staffing demands of our hiring managers from 3 different departments, to ensuring the day-to-day administrative support for the office runs like clockwork, our team worked our best to deliver. A great opportunity (and an eye-opener) to facilitate internal transfers, coach and guide young talents in growing their career. Whoever said millennial talent were challenging to work with, should try their hand at it and discover a new way of working!

Delivering a software release on time (with no major 'bugs') is the icing-on-the-cake for the day! Working in a team of 8 engineers in an agile development environment meant daily SCRUM stand-up meetings were a must. Challenges grew when our software had to 'sync' some features with another 'sister' software, worked on by our Kiev counterparts. Rolling out a 3D software meant we had to deal with problems related to 3D file-formats, coordinate systems, etc. , which 'ordinary' softwares didn't have to manage! Nevertheless, witnessing how our releases made new biomedical engineering feats possible made it all worthwhile in the end :-)

I had the opportunity to people-manage a small team of Functional Analysts and Software Developers, making sure that our software milestones delivered on schedule, and supporting our Project Manager (based in Materialise HQ, Belgium). My first 'real' experience at people-managing gave me a whole new perspective on what it was like. I mostly enjoyed using tools like the Skill Will Matrix, Core Quadrants, MBTI, DISC assessments, etc, and seeing how applying these theories into practice proved more challenging than I imagined!

Nice opportunity being one of the pioneer members of the software development teams in Malaysia! It was great to brainstorm ideas and features with the team, and produce a well-known 3D software. Proud that what started as version 5.0 then, is now branched into different suites with a multitude of features, with usage spanning across different industries (industrial, medical, etc.).
