As a team we effectively communicated and interviewed a total of 6 new hires to find a solution to creating a better onboarding experience for future hires. We researched and coded interview transcripts as well to fully acknowledge and analyze the candidate’s experience to ensure continued quality in future company interviews. After conducting our individual interviews with recent hires, we analyzed the faults in the company’s onboarding process and created a new plan that allows new hires easy access to help as they get acclimated to their new jobs. The solution we came up with was a checklist to offer to new hires. Writing out the full steps to them completing their transition to working for Be The Match. On the back of the checklist, there is an index list of who to reach out to at that location of the office if the new hire is in need of more assistance. Such as who to contact in office for IT help when the new hire is setting up their new work laptop. We also suggested creating a survey to offer to possible new hires that evaluate their onboarding experience.

While working at this restaurant, my job as shift lead was to help customers overcome challenges, communicate orders, and organize and distribute orders. I generated over $10,000 of revenue daily through over 250 whole cake sales and lunch orders through one-on-one customer transactions. I effectively worked and communicated with people of diverse backgrounds and ages to reach common goals as well as assisted fellow employees through customer service problems and confirmed their successful completion of daily tasks as a designated peer supporter.

As an Ecommerce Buyers Assistant for the Minnesota Alumni Market, my positioned allowed me review products, build upon the company's website, and use Shopify and Canva to implement online profiles and new products.Our audience majority are University of Minnesota parents, alum, and new prospective students. I reviewed a total of 200 products and identified each products revenue to determine the highest profitability product selection for different audiences. Additionally, I attended events to promote Alumni market businesses through outreach events that broadened audiences and successfully help network more businesses to customers as well. I left this role with skills in Excel, Canva, and Shopify. With that in mind, I also left with better communication skills. The tools that I gained from this wonderful experience challenged me to work in a completely new position and taught me so many more interpersonal, management, and communication skills.
