Having been involved with building construction and maintenance of buildings for the last 20+ years, I have grown to love and develop a passion for what we do at Independent Building Inspections. We are at the on the forefront of assisting our clients, and others, with specialized waterproofing applications by approved applicators and also training staff in the correct application of these systems. Structural repairs and the testing of sound substrates, in concrete and built environment, is right up our ally and we can advise our clients with the correct methodology in these fields.We conduct on-site testing with state of the art equipment, ranging from Dry Film Thickness (DFT's) tests, to concrete mean strength tests with pull-off adhesion testing, not only on concrete but many other suitable substrates. Never doubt the strength of your substrates as we can even check your screeds with our BRE screed tester.Managing building projects, as either site manager or supervisor for construction companies, has been one of our favorites as we have an eye for detail in every aspect of the construction process and able to assist with high levels of workmanship needed to complete any project successfully.Our business is geared to bring the supplier and end user closer to each other with the correct procedures in place to assure a great synergy. We have been an approved inspections and testing authority for many of the bigger brand construction product suppliers in South Africa, from paints to concrete repair mortars, with track records and relationships spanning more than 20 years.We do get the change to be on the tools now and then and enjoy teaching brush hand painters the skills to further their careers to painters and roofers to fitting diverse types of roofs to exceptional levels of workmanship and finishes.
