I am a senior at the University of Rochester studying molecular genetics and religion. I have a passion for understanding the human body and how it works. I believe that understanding aspects of religion and how religion contributes to health allows for a more well rounded and holistic approach to medicine. I am dedicated to creating a cohesive, safe, and progressive environment for patients and those involved in healthcare. This is coupled with my love for science which motivates me to understand the causes and effects of medical issues. My experience obtaining my EMT certification showed me that this is the field where I belong and I am excited to pursue a career in medicine. Outside of academics, I have a love and deep appreciation for art. I make and sell stained glass windows, mosaics, and am hoping to learn how to blow glass in the near future! Creative expression provides a counterpoint to the rigors of study. I have been swimming competitively for over ten years. My favorite events are the 200 fly and the 400IM. I am also a certified coach and love working with my athletes to achieve their own goals.
