I am a Professor of Political Science at the Institute for Social and Political Studies (IESP-UERJ) and a partner at Quaest, a Brazilian-based consulting company specializing in online and offline public opinion. Prior to this, I served as a lecturer at the São Paulo School of Economics (EESP/FGV) and a postdoctoral research fellow at the Brazilian Center of Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP).My research examines how political institutions and elections shape representation using a combination of machine learning, causal inference, and survey methods. In addition to my research, I develop open-source tools for social science research.I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science (UFMG/Brazil) and am a research associate at the Center for Legislative Studies (CEL-UFMG). My past experiences include working as the Chief Data Scientist at Quaest; a postdoctoral fellow at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG); and as visiting scholar at the Department of Government of the University of Essex.
