● YAC focuses on youths’ interest in politics and local government as future voters and community leaders● Organizes and leads events and activities to engage underprivileged and newcomer youth in the community● Provides personalized support to the mental and physical well-being of youth in the district● Offer help and guidance for youth in employment and post-secondary pathways

● The Community Engagement and Outreach Committee focuses on engaging community residents and users of the Community Centre by providing opportunities to directly influence the programs, services and activities taking place at the Centres.● The Committee oversees the Society’s preparations for the Forums for Dialogue and Learning events, user engagement opportunities and the annual member survey.

- Established and maintained the non-profit project and corresponding team, S.O.L.V.E.- Dedicated to support children from disabled and low-income families in China- In charge of recruiting team members; successfully recruited over 20 fellow volunteers frommore than five regions- Provided weekly online English tutoring for free- Responsible for liasoning with Beijing Volunteeer Service Foundation and the Disabled Person’s Federation regarding ongoing collaborations- Assisted over 25 families with a cumulative of 1,000+ hours; students improved English gradesby approx. 45% on average
