Meiyah Hill is a 22-year-old (2-time) college graduate. During her time at Cleveland School of Architecture and Design at John Hay, she was considered a model student. She was on Merit Roll every semester and continuously maintained a high GPA, ending her senior year with a 4.27 semester GPA. While in high school, Meiyah earned an Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies from the Metropolitan Campus of Cuyahoga Community College via the College Credit Plus program (May 2020; 3.4 GPA). In June 2020, Meiyah graduated from John Hay High School in the top 10% of her class, NHS status, and with a 3.63 cumulative GPA. She accomplished all of this at the age of 17. After her high school and community college graduations, Meiyah matriculated at Central State University in Wilberforce, OH. During her 2 years at Central State, she joined 2 honors societies and was the Senator of Academic Affairs for CSU’s Student Government Association for the 2021-2022 academic year. In Summer 2021, Ms. Hill was a Legal Intern at Law Offices of Carlos K. Johnson and Fernando Mack in downtown Cleveland. She got the opportunity to file motions with the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, learn more about case filing systems, and witness several pre-trial and sentencing hearings on the state and federal level. In May 2022, Hill graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English (Pre-Law) with a 3.0 cumulative GPA at the age of 19. She graduated debt free due to her earning and maintaining a plethora of scholarships from CSU, Cleveland based organizations, and Black Greek lettered organizations. After graduating from Central State, Ms. Hill moved back to her hometown of Cleveland, OH and was a Title One Teacher at WINGS Academy for an academic year. She currently serves as the Graduate Assistant Career Advisor at UD’s Office of Career Services. Meiyah is expected to graduate with her MSE in Higher Education and Student Affairs at University of Dayton (3.88 cumulative GPA) in May 2025 and is in the process of applying to law school. Hill is interested in becoming a student affairs practitioner, General Counsel, or President at an HBCU. Miss Hill recently published a research brief titled "The Impact of Black Greek Letter Organizations on Academic Achievement and Professional Success".She is an active member of ACPA, NASPA, Cleveland Council of Black Colleges Alumni Association, Inc., Central State University National Alumni Association, and serves on Central State University - Cleveland Alumni Chapter’s Executive Board as the Chair of the Public Relations Committee.
