Responsible for managing a team of 19 Mortgage Loan Consultants. Developed and implemented sales strategies to encourage sales growth and to grow loan sourcing channels within a local market. Responsible for meeting mortgage loan production goals. Coordinates sales meetings, trains staff, and implements policy and procedures. Increase SunTrust Banks visibility in SC market by representing the company in various civic and community functions for the purpose of enhancing its image, developing new business, and advancing the Community Development agenda. Implement marketing and advertising programs to ensure market awareness of the products and services available to community development target groups as they relate the Community Reinvestment Act. Monitor and evaluate CRA performance in SC market and recommend appropriate action. Work in a collaborative manner with Residential Mortgage Loan Originators, Production Managers, Business Banking Relationship Mangers, Marketing Managers and other appropriate business partners. Administers policies and procedures to ensure company compliance with CRA regulations for SC Region. Keep abreast of state and federal lending programs.

Originated CRA mortgage loans through direct sourcing from non-profit organizations, real estate agents, industry professionals, marketing campaigns and retail branch referrals. CRA responsibilities included credit counseling, developing new business relationships and representing Carolina First a various CRA functions.

Improved banking center sales skills, processed knowledge and understanding of tools/technology for consumer real estate. Set up Homebuyer Seminars, coached/trained individual associates to eliminate learning gaps. Subjected matter expert for consumer market executives and banking center managers. Facilitated for advanced mortgage training.

Originated retail mortgage loans through direct sourcing of real estate agents, industry professionals, marketing campaigns and retail branch referrals. Products included conventional fixed, jumbo, ARM, Neighborhood Advantage, FHA, VA and other loan programs as introduced by the bank.
