Produced detailed assessments based on knowledge of the City, its divisions and Agencies IT infrastructure, to identify service areas as candidates for several shared services models with the corresponding risk, value, and service improvement factors.• Shared Services Assessment for Technology Infrastructure within the public sector and specifically for the City of Toronto and its Agencies. Created an RFP and evaluated the proponents for subject matter specialists to assist the City and Agency team produce an in depth analysis of the feasibility of shared services models to provide tangible benefits for the enterprise.• Author of the City's data centre strategy for consolidation of multiple hosting facilities for the stand alone organization and as a major partner in Shared Services. .• Assisted with an extensive RFP for Internet Voting solutions. From a systems architecture perspective, evaluated vendor commercial solutions for functionality, security and the ability to provide persons with disabilities with a web based solution for voting in municipal elections.• IT Project manager for the consolidated data centre feasibility project with a budget of $105M. Produced financial ROI analyses, budgets, cash flow projections, and presentations for the CIO. Created business cases, needs assessments, staff reports and briefing notes as well as RFP and RFQ development. Worked closely with industry leading architects, engineers and data centre specialists to produce a scalable design for a Tier III facility that could serve the City's needs for 20+ years. -

Lead a team of Network, Platform and Operations staff to implement a collocation site with TELUS. Reviewed contracts, prepared cash flow analyses, coordinated cabling, power and heating schema for the City space. Managed other projects as required by the Datacentre Operations manager and Platform Support manager. Produced RFPs, business cases, budget variance reports, provided financial oversight and created Operating level Agreements.Managed the business processes between the City's business units and the mainframe service provider, EDS. Responsibilities included monitoring budgets, reducing costs, coordinating releases, managing usage of 3rd party software and leading the Disaster Recovery exercise. Reviewed business processes and mainframe data retention.Assisted with the planning for bringing on-stream a 3rd datacentre space to meet the City's growing IT needs. Participated in capacity planning, infrastructure design and efficient utilization meetings with Operations, Network Services, Platform Support and System Products Support. Reviewed datacentre security issues and the feasibility of biometric identification with Corporate Security and Facilities & Real Estate. Assisted with the review of the annual datacentre electrical maintenance test to identify possible points of failure and improve efficiencies. Assisted with budgets and planning for the new Consolidated Datacentre project including compliance with Uptime Institute & TIA Datacenter standards.
