• Building strong relationships with both branches and customers.- Complete monthly review with branch on debtor performance and items for resolution- Regular branch visits - Visit key customers as required• Managed Credit overdue debt to ensure prompt payment and minimise risk.- Achieve cash collect and ageing targets as required- Follow up and collect all overdue accounts; ensuring all relevant people are notified- Liaise with customers and branches as required- Enter all notes about discussions with customers into system- Review and actively manage aging and credit limits- Send delinquent debt to Fletcher Building shared service for collection- Complete credit limit increases for approval by branch operator.• Assess Credit worthiness and open new accounts.- Assess all new account applications by performing all relevant credit checks within SLA of 2 working days from receipt application. If urgent within 8 working hours.- Liaise with branch as appropriate for any concerns• Assist with transition to centralised AR function - Assist branches with implementing policies and procedures as part of transition to a centralised credit function.• Complete Debtor administration in timely - Follow up and resolve queries promptly- Follow up and resolve queries promptly- Compile required documents in cases of litigation or when further security is required• Monthly reporting - Compile summary report on key metrics (cash collect, aged debt, write-offs, overdue actions)- Compile and send monthly reports for each branch

Responsibilities/Achievements:• Collections and negotiation of payment for outstanding debt and monitor payment where there has been credit extensions.• Managing all the credit work queues ensuring accounts are being actioned and progressed through the collections pipeline.• Works with a minimum of supervision on collection of overdue accounts.• Handle disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms.• Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed time frame • Undertake account reconciliations as required• Ability to negotiate at all levels and can demonstrate the confidence to deal with difficult clients to obtain win-win solutions• Respond promptly to both customer and internal enquiries, liaise with other departments within the company to ensure the best possible service is given to the customer as well as ensuring prompt payment is received• Maintain excellent interpersonal skills, together with the ability to communicate at all levels of society and across language and cultural boundaries• Prepare files for transfer to the Debt Recovery team• Compile and submit all relevant reports and statistics by agreed time. Update the relevant online reports and procedures• Implement Credit policies and procedures
