• Responsible for everyday operations of the office• Safety director to include; 52 tractors, 8 straight trucks and vans, 119 trailers and drivers. • Ensure company and drivers comply with FMCSA and NCDOT• Perform safety training, qualify drivers, safety meetings, driver log compliance, maintenance records and all government regulations. • Approve vehicle repairs, setup needed repairs, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.• Monitor random drug and alcohol compliance, review DOT road-side inspections and ensure that company regulations are followed. • Perform criminal and DOT background checks on employees through and independent source to ensure that employees meet company, federal and state regulations. • Review Com-Data driver expense, repair bills and employee advances.• Perform military surveys, civilian relocations, national account sales freight cost analysis and billing. • Fill in other positions within the company in the absence of office personnel.
