Permit Technician Iii - Building Division
Current•ICC Certified Permit Technician • Assist with day-to-day tasks and duties of a Building Permit Technician while maintaining the highest level of customer service in the Community Development Department. •Liaison between (developers, architects, homeowners, business owners, & contractors) for new residential subdivisions, commercial/residential alterations, new commercial/residential buildings and other large construction projects.•Provide submittal permit requirements for all commercial and residential projects.•Route construction plans to divisions: Building, Planning, Engineering and Transportation for plan review while maintaining knowledge of each division functions and positions in the Community Development Department.•Process building fee estimates from minor to major commercial/residential projects. •Provide various records research pertaining to Building records only. •Manual/electronic data entry via Accela Automation for all plans submitted for plan review and permit issuance. •Process and file all incoming applications for residential and commercial projects. •Review minor residential alteration (non-structural) projects for kitchen and bathroom remodels. Process and issue minor M.E.P.'s over the counter.•Provide the community with correct information regarding state/local laws and building codes.
