- Act as the Deputy CIO.- Manage the performance appraisal process for the IT line managers.- Act as a link between the IT functions and the operations functions internally.- Setting Technical objectives for the IT line managers.- IT Projects (Planning, Technical design, Implementation, delivery, and operation).- IT Quality and improvement areas (Availability management, Problem solving, Root cause analysis, design revision, technology refreshment and key changes).- New products Planning, designing and implementation follow-up.- Ensure following vendors’ best practices and getting the Maximum ROI from any implemented solution.- Address Operational issues, and its related improvements plans and remediation.- Ensure matching the SLA with customers and OLA with other internal Departments.

Responsible for:- All Linux Enterprise Platforms.- Oracle Database Platforms.- Disaster Recover Platforms Oracle & Informix- IBM Informix Database Platform.- 10g Oracle RACs.- All WebServers Platform (Apache - Tomcat - IIS ).- Creating any Scripts (Linux & Windows)for automating tasks.

- Installing Oracle server and client software, creating, upgrading and patching databases in Linux and Windows- Upgrading and Migration of oracle database to higher version (from 9i and 10G) in multi platforms.• Periodic Patching of database.- Upgrading and patching databases in Linux and Windows- Periodic Patching of database.- Tuning Oracle databases and tuning applications (SQL), for tuning SQL working closely with development team.- Planning, scheduling and taking Oracle backups.- Backups and Recovery strategies using RMAN, Export/Import. - Managing physical standby databases using Oracle Data Guard feature for High availability configuration. - Installation, Configuration and deployment of Oracle 10g database and Real Application Clusters (RAC) on different nodes with Automatic Storage Management (ASM). - Fulfilling DBA daily activities including user management (creating users, privileges, roles, quotas, table, index, sequence etc.), space management (table space, undo segment), monitoring (alert log, memory, disk I/O, CPU, database network connectivity). - Working closely with developers, provided Oracle DBA support and technical support for multiple applications in development, Test, QA, UAT and production environments.- UNIX/Linux SHELL Scripting.- Windows Servers (AD, DNS, DHCP, License Servers)- Linux / Unix Servers- Change Control System (Tripwire)- Centralized Log Management System- Citrix ( XenApp / XenVirtualization )- IDS/IPS Systems (SourceFire)
