Partnerships Development Manager
Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People is the only children’s hospice in the East Midlands. We step in when families need us most – and we stay with them for as long as they require. If a child with a life-limiting illness needs care, their families can turn to Rainbows for support. Rainbows is there for children and young people who live short lives. We provide a place for children to play, laugh and receive the best care possible. Along the way we support mums, dads, brothers, sisters and grandparents – because life-limiting illnesses affect the whole family.We provide end of life care, symptom management, short breaks, respite care and support for the whole family. Headway is the leading UK charity supporting people affected by brain injury. As an integral part of a small fundraising team I grow and sustain the charity's income of over £5.3 million. My role focuses on managing Headway's porfolio of events which include conferences and training events for professional who specialise within the field of brain injury as well as the charity's special events. One of which is the Headway Annual Awards, where we celebrate the achievements of our incredible finalists with over 400 guests including corporate supporters and VIP's each year.I manage the charity's corporate partnerships, which involves relationship management with a large number of existing supporters but also development of new relationships. I also manage our charity of the year partners, supporting them throughout their charity adoption and working with them strategically to make the most of the opportunity.I am also responsible for the Headway Head Injury Solicitors Directory which is an invaluable service for brain injury survivors and their families that Headway has provided for over 15 years. Consisting of the UK's leading personal injury firms with brain injury expertise, the Directory is designed to help people with complex brain injury claims choose the most appropriate solicitor for their case. I manage this project by marketing the Directory and processing applications, right through to creating the publication and website listings and ensuring that this vital document is distributed nationwide to ensure those who need it can access it.

Within this role I was responsible for organising along the River Trent which included taking bookings, hosting viewings and doing the necessary preparation for the events. Princess River Cruises run a variety events, ranging from private events such as weddings and Birthday parties to public afternoon tea and party night cruises so I dealt with a variety of customers with diverse range of requirements. During my time in this role I also trained a member of staff and conducted interviews for staff on the boats.
