Based between Naarm/Melbourne and Gippsland, Melanie has a demonstrated history of working in multiple capacities within the arts industry. As an arts facilitator and curator Melanie has overseen major projects, exhibition curation and installation both nationally and at an international level working with both fine artists and street artists, has developed public programming and has used skills in graphic design to assist with running communications and media strategies for commercial galleries, independent artists and small arts orgs. As an artist Melanie is skilled in painting, drawing and mural work, and has undertaken a multitude of commissions including large scale murals for private clients, local government councils such as the City of Charles Sturt (SA), City of Kingston (VIC) and the City of Stonnington (VIC) and for Big Picture Festival in Frankston and Urban Canvas Mural Festival. She was a finalist in the 2019 and 2022 KAAF Prize, the 2024 Percival Portrait Prize and was the selected artist in 2022 to create major infrastructure artwork for the Bunyip and Longwarry Train Stations as a part of Victoria's Big Build Project for Rail Projects Victoria. Melanie holds a Master’s Degree focused in Fine and Studio Arts Management from RMIT University, and a Bachelor of Fine Art Painting.
