Promote county’s sustainability, solid waste and hazardous waste programs through social media and traditional media, write daily posts as well as copy and press releases for special events and ongoing programs. Plan, organize, administer community outreach programs, special events, classes for waste reduction, reuse, recycling and composting programs. Write grants, monitor grant and program budget and file reports for state department. Lead county effort in update of the Comprehensive Lewis County Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Plan with help of city, county, state and community stakeholders. Provide technical assistance to local businesses and schools in the development of their waste reduction, recycling and composting programs. Spearhead large annual community event, gathering multiple partners to participate and citizens to attend.
