Magellan Scholar; Received a $2,000 grant to conduct research at a local pre-school and in the SCROLL lab under the guidance of mentor Dr. Suzanne Adlof• Constructed materials and stimuli used for lesson plans• Assisted clinicians in two different types of pre-literacy interventions• Assisted in administering post tests and scored both pre-tests and post-tests• Gained valuable clinical experience working with children• Recorded and transcribed Narrative Retells• Developed a Macrostructure scale from which to assess improvement in the narrative retell transcripts over the course of the intervention• Entered transcripts into SALT Language Sample Analysis Software to assess the transcripts on a microstructure scale• Presented results at the 2013 SCSHA Convention and The University of South Carolina's Discovery Day in April 2013
