Over 30 years experience in journalism/magazines, including Editor posts, plus previous experience in parliamentary lobbying and media sales. In 2006-7 I was the sole fundraiser for a mid scale regional arts centre, and then shared the fundraising role with another manager, growing to three fundraisers in 2014. Personally, I also fundraise for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and St Peter's Church, Dormington, as well as being an animal rights campaigner. I have eight years experience as an international media sales executive for a world-leading shipping magazine (business to business). From March 2016 - June 2020 I was Fundraising Manager focusing on Individual Giving at The Courtyard Centre for the Arts Herefordshire. This was followed by over three years at the Royal National College for the Blind (RNC), also in Herefordshire: the RNC is a brilliant and inspiring charity, delivering academic and vocational education plus independent living skills training for young people aged 16-25 from across the UK who are visually impaired or blind. I am now back at The Courtyard as Head of Fundraising & Business Development and loving supporting all of the amazing community projects they achieve on very limited funds!
