Hiii! 👋🏼 I'm Melanie, an Early Childhood Educator and former Bachelor of Fine Arts (Creative and Professional Writing) student at the Queensland University of Technology. I am passionate about creating a loving, welcoming, and safe space for children to nourish their individuality, creativity, and confidence holistically. I value meaningful connections and aspire to provide this to children in their early years. 🌱 I hope to combine my love for reading and writing with working with children by introducing them to diverse and inspiring children's fiction, such as Joanna Ho's "Eyes That Kiss In the Corners", and encouraging them to explore their curiosities and imaginations with story making and play, whether it be through writing, drawing, painting, or another medium. 🎨 📖On the side, I am exploring digital content creation and storytelling; I am a member of Instagram's poetry and book communities with a growing audience of over 500 followers.
