This Project Manager role within this company entails overlooking all the projects of the company rather than individual projects one at a time. Most of the projects are customer projects, by which the clients would opt for one or more modules from the Dakar product suite that needs to be delivered. There are also upgrades that are considered as projects and Customisation Projects, where this role involved gathering business requirements and seeing the project delivery from start to finish.Internal projects within Dakar are also being handled through this role, such as the company website, knowledge base project for internal training etc..

The role entailed handling client projects ranging from Onboardings, Brand Integrations, Add-ons, Data migrations, and other related projects. Through this opportunity I used tools such as JIRA, Confluence and in-house built automated tools to implement projects.

This role involves a wide range of aspects to ensuring the product is successful at user satisfaction and benefit realisation as well as delivering the expected revenue against the projected business plan. 80% of this role involves marketing, whereby all product material and sales collateral is carefully combined, competitive analysis is performed, take to market strategies are defined, and before and after ROI illustration are built. The role also involves gathering business requirements and communicating them to the Technology team whereby they get transformed into stories and epics for development to develop against and QA to test the beneficial outcomes correctly. Overall Project Management of a release is involved in this role in bringing the multiple stakeholders (geographically wide) together. Product consultancy to customers, sales, delivery and support teams are all vital to this role, such activities involve training sessions, demos, feasibility studies, and helpdesk ticket analysis to be considered for the product.

The main purpose of the Implementation Project Manager role was to manage product Implementations at various sites. It involved project and budget planning, resource allocation, workshop facilitation, efficient communication with the relevant customers as well as taking forward the product implementation project to sign off.The Product Consultant role was accompanied based on my past experience as a business analyst. This role involved assisting potential/existing customers into understanding how their business processes can be proven more efficient by using the company’s products. The role involves feasibility studies and workshops.

This role was awarded to complement the role of a Business Analyst and to focus on Project Management and Facilitation.It involved process such as project shaping of projects, facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, ensuring all the necessary documents (of all the project) were in place and written in the correct standards. As a result of project shaping phases, I worked closely with the Project Manager to kick off projects in line with the agreed definition with the customer.Within this role I also assisted the PMO Director when executing Project Audits, and on any day-to-day reporting and duties.

This role was awarded since I was the sole person with expertise on both the IT systems as well as the internal Business Processes of emcare. The role consisted of mentoring and training all 7 staff members (Care Centre Staff) who reported to me. Training was given in the business strategies, IT systems, internal approved Business processes, as well as creating new internal processes which involved the team and mentoring them into the culture of using them. Being on 24/7 support meant constant support and improvement of the processes, thinking on the spot, troubleshooting, and quick decision making. Reporting directly to the CEO the improvements and the fall backs happening at the Care Centre and offering solutions to improve the strategy.
