Responsible for leading, initiating, and supporting projects including NPD, CapEx, continuous improvement, and reformulation. Area of scope covers injection molding, compression molding, machining and assembly of various rubber and plastic materials and products.

Responsible for creating and scaling up processes for NPD projects, from raw material to final part shipment. Executed capability and capacity analysis, defined molding, machining, and assembly processes, and ensured quality and cost goals were met. -Validated and adapted the process for a PEEK composite product from an R&D facility to the Houston Value Stream through scale-up and commercialization.-Investigated and optimized the process of a new PFA composite material to define capabilities and increase capacity.-Developed and defined the process for a new application of a PFA composite material with expected initial sales to be at $1.4 million/year.

Managed the Rotational Engineering Program at the Houston site with up to 6 direct reports at a time. Responsible for overseeing the development and assignments of all Houston-based engineers within the program. -On-boarded, developed, and graduated 9 new engineers. -Worked with the engineer and their Assignment Manager to ensure positive, educational, and impactful employee development. -Provided critical feedback to employees as needed and during Quarterly Reviews for employee growth.

Responsible for supporting daily production of elastomeric parts including resolving production issues, reducing departmental scrap, improving on time delivery while maintaining high levels of quality and safety. -Reduced department scrap from 6.4% to 2.8% by value and 8.1% to 3.5% by unit.-Completed internal Lean Practitioner Level 1 & 2, completing projects implementing 5S into a production area, developing a poka yoke positive stop to prevent defects in our modular rings, and creating a visual management system for tool organization on 850 different tools.-Trained 8 employees in Level 1 Lean Practitioner to receive their company certification.-Validated a new elastomer through DOE trials on a $2.3 million project.-One of 6 Women at the company nominated for the 2020 Step Ahead Award from National Association of Manufacturers.-Validated and qualified a new press line responsible for running the majority of all elastomeric products in the Houston location.-Internal Audit Team - trained to audit processes to ISO 9001 and AS 9100.

Rotated through departments over two years developing and improving manufacturing processes, ensuring quality of product, and designing custom plastic and elastomeric parts for the Energy industry.-Functional areas include: Process Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Applications Engineering. -Earned LSS Yellow Belt by reducing scrap rate in a thermoformed plastic product from 23% to 2% using the DMAIC process.-Designed injection molding simulation experiments and ran test pieces on a $2 million/year product using a newly developed PEEK material.-Developed a spot welding and assembly process for critical MSE seals for the Aerospace market.-Designed over $1 million in annual value worth of custom plastic and elastomeric parts.

Chemical Process Design - Assisted in the teaching and grading of a Chemical Process Design course where students build a theoretical manufacturing plant to solve a business need. Held regular office hours to handle inquires from my 30 designated students along with supporting students from other groups if needed.

Evaluated and prepared product samples for odor, color, pH, and viscosity stability in a multitude of conditions. Initiated and completed a research study on raw material stability in client base and created a database of material shifts for future problem solving and presented findings to senior management. Created coloring for products sent for client evaluation. Used stabilization mechanisms to solve stability problems in products.

Created and designed a new online system of event planning for the Center, wrote a portion of an official U.S. grant proposal, gathered and analyzed statistics for multiple programs, designed promotional materials for numerous organizations, and handled communication between the public and the Center resolving various problems

Checked incoming local tax returns, developed better document organization to increase efficiency, communicated problems with returns to the tax payers, and worked within a unique computer system to provide proper electronic filing and organization
