The Head of Student Care (Middle School) at Trinity College is responsible for leading the pastoral care and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring a supportive and nurturing environment for all students. This role requires the development and oversight of wellbeing programs that foster resilience, personal growth, and positive mental health while supporting students with additional needs through tailored interventions such as Curriculum Adjusted Plans (CAPs) and Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Working closely with staff, the Head of Student Care ensures consistent implementation of restorative practices, behavioural management, and proactive wellbeing strategies that align with the College’s values. Additionally, the role involves regular communication and collaboration with parents to address student welfare, ensuring an open and supportive partnership between the school and families.The Head of Student Care also mentors staff in their pastoral responsibilities, equipping them with the tools to support student wellbeing effectively. As part of the Middle School Executive team, the role contributes to strategic planning and policy development, ensuring pastoral care practices evolve to meet contemporary needs. Crisis and incident management, including emergency responses and collaboration with external agencies, is also a key responsibility. Through these initiatives, the Head of Student Care ensures that students are supported holistically, empowering them to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
