PI: Simon P. Hogan, Ph.D. | Division of Allergy and ImmunologyThis project studied the protective effects of LPS on IgE-mediated anaphylaxis in C57BL/6 and Balb/c mice. It was found that TLR4-mediated LPS response led to an internalization of FcERI within mast cells of C57BL/6 mice, leading to decreased histamine release. In Balb/c mice, the protection is not IgE/FcERI-mediated. * Received manuscript publication on this work in 2017
