Banter Group is a full-service marketing agency helping businesses navigate the complex landscapes of branding, marketing and technology to achieve business efficiency, growth and success.During my 4 years with Banter Group as their Senior Web Producer I was an integral team member in the development and delivery of website projects. I worked with Banter Group's multi-disciplined team including the creative studio, content creators and account management to ensure projects met client objectives and timelines. Additionally I provided strategic direction and guidance on web development best practice, user experience (UX) and search engine optimisation (SEO). I contributed to the development of agency practices and processes to streamline workflow and enhance efficiency.

My husband and I established this tourist accommodation business on a vacant block of land in Wollombi, in the NSW Hunter Valley. Following a two-year project, involving design, council approval and building works, we opened for business in March 2008. My responsibilities included; bookkeeping including lodging Business Activity Statements using MYOB, marketing activities, general administration, reservations, customer service activities, advertising and promotion, gardening, and housekeeping.Whilst managing this business we won numerous awards including: Unique Accommodation at the NSW Tourism Awards, Environmental Excellence in Business at the Hunter Region Business Excellence Awards, and the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award.I was also actively involved with the Wollombi Valley Chamber of Commerce during our years in the area.

My husband and I purchased this accommodation business, following a decision to relocate from Sydney. We constructed two additional tourist accommodation cottages, resulting in this business being one of the most highly regarded in the area. My responsibilities whilst managing this business included; bookkeeping using MYOB, marketing activities, general administration, reservations, customer service activities, advertising and promotion, gardening, and housekeeping. For two years during this period I was also the Treasurer of the Kangaroo Valley Tourist Association Inc. In both 2002 and 2003, our business was a Finalist in the South Coast Awards for Excellence in Tourism.

My responsibilities while in this position included; processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, maintaining database files, keeping track of both incoming and outgoing stock, and quoting jobs for the Sales Department. I was also involved in the setting up and maintaining of the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification, and gained a good knowledge of Word, Excel and Filemaker on the Apple Macintosh platform.
