-Assists the academic team to hire quality instructional and support staff who embrace the school mission through managing effective systems for recruitment, interviewing, and hiring-Ensures educational and regulatory compliance at all local, state, and federal levels-Directly manages operations team members at the school, including full-time and part time staff members-Owns logistics of school-wide events and off-site events such as recruitment fairs, Family Data Nights, and new scholar orientations-Serves as the primary point of contact for HR related questions, concerns, benefits, and processes for staff-Onboards new hires and ensure teachers meet compliance with certification requirements-Manage all vendors including but not limited to fiscal services, payroll, facilities, transportation, educational program service providers, community/educational partners-Actively manages the school budget and monitors spending for compliance with internal controls to ensure the school is a sound steward of public funds-Consistent engagement in DEI training to ensure support of the school mission and anti-racism vision-Leads the school’s scholar recruitment activities and systems to ensure the school is fully enrolled

-Assistant Principal of Instruction: Lead the national Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence assessment process where the school has been awarded with the Beacon Excellence award-Evaluated curriculum implemented within classrooms and testing data to drive professional development sessions-Collected, analyzed, and evaluated discipline data to implement training for teachers; tracked student progress and created action plans-ADEPT Liaison for the school- evaluated teacher certification levels to determine appropriate evaluations deemed by SCDoE, organized evaluation teams, streamlined processes, and monitored progress through the evaluation period-Trained Title IX investigator

-Teacher of English I, English II, Honors English II, English III, and Honors English III classes-2018-2019 Teacher of the Year-Trained in Trauma Informed Practices, De-escalation in Educational Settings, Restorative Practices, and member of IDLC for effective implementation of technology in the classroom

-Fostering relationships with public officials as well as citizens in an effort to create an environment conducive for multicultural exchange and understanding-One of three hundred out of sixteen-hundred to receive a Fulbright Fellowship to serve as an ambassador for the United States while teaching American English and American culture in diverse high school classrooms in Western Europe.
