As a part of the conversion team (implementing Psyche WindoPath to Aurora partners across the nation), I assist and encourage laboratory staff enduring the strain of system conversions. Troubleshooting the issues that come up within laboratory operations has been a large part of my focus. I maintain my goal of patient care and overall client satisfaction.

Transcription/Client Services/Accessioning/IT Support:- Directs the activities of the Transcription team to increase output while ensuring a high level of accuracy.- Directs the activities of the Client Service team.- Directs the activities of the Accessioning department to ensure efficiency by optimizing accessioning workflow to expeditiously deliver specimens to other departments while maintaining critical focus on quality.- Provides the highest level of customer service to clients and internal departments by ensuring efficiency and quality in turn-around time, problem resolution and education related to services offered.- Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies (CLIA, CAP, OSHA, etc.)- Provides assistance and support to the LIS and its ancillary system to resolve application and computer-related issues.

I work as the General Supervisor to meld the entire laboratory workflow together, finding ways that the client services and specimen receiving departments can best improve the workflow of the histology, molecular, cytology and pathology departments. I have taken the lead in initiatives to improve turn-around-time for cytology and molecular testing, and I am continually working to improve workflow and productivity.

In addition to Medical Transcription in Pathology, I also performed basic office duties including mailing and answering phones.
