­­• Assists staff undertaking environmental assessment, monitoring and compliance related to physical upgrades to the Trent Severn Waterway's infrastructure.• Conducts baseline natural resource surveys such as vegetation, species at risk, and water quality

• Assisted in ecological field work and data collection in support of Conservation Halton’s Long-term Environmental Monitoring Program and species at risk recovery projects, including such tasks as, but not limited to vegetation inventories and sampling, tree health monitoring, and breeding bird surveys as directed• Undertook database management and preparation of summary reports and tables in support of watershed reporting and funding requirements• Assisted stewardship staff with the delivery of outreach events (restoration and habitat plantings), workshops and conducting site visits related to landowner outreach and stewardship.

• Planned, prepared and implemented management strategies for invasive species (Mustard Garlic, European Buckthorn, Japanese Knotweed, and Dog-strangling vine) established on the organic farm using methods such as biological and mechanical control• Performed other duties as assigned such as planting trees and vegetables, pruning orchard trees, and minor carpentry
