At Total Physio I work with musculoskeletal injuries along with providing vestibular rehab therapy to the local community. My treatments for MSK related injuries and conditions can include manual therapy techniques, acupuncture/dry needling, and an emphasis on exercise therapy and patient education. I have helped treat and manage many different conditions that include, but are not limited to post-op rehabilitation, sport-specific injuries including concussion management, post concussion syndrome, sprains/strains, tendinopathies, acute and chronic back pain, and postural disorders to name a few. Working to promote Vertigenius where technology and healthcare come together. Vertigenius offers specific vestibular rehab programs for clinicians to prescribe to their patients. My role involves:- Targeting Vestibular Physiotherapists, other healthcare professionals and Clinics who will benefit from Vertigenius in their practice. - Providing online or in person demonstrations for clinicians. - Providing continued support with clinicians to enhance their experience with Vertigenius to the fullest potential.

At The Balance Centre I work as a Vestibular Therapist. I am trained in utilising equipment such as frenzel goggles, video head impulse test (vHiT), and Equitest which allows for more objective measurements to be taken during a vestibular assessment. This can further guide your vestibular rehab program at home and target a patient's individualised weaknesses. Within this role, I also provide vestibular and basic respiratory physiotherapy in the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital through outpatients, inpatients, or A&E referrals. I work closely within the multidisciplinary team setting with nurses, consultants, and speech pathologists.

At Spectrum Health I worked as a part time Physiotherapist in the VHI Swiftcare at Rockfield Medical Centre and Centric Health in Dundrum. I worked closely with GPs, nurses, and consultants in a multi-disciplinary team to provide patients with the best care. I assessed and treated patients with acute injuries such as tendon/muscle strains, ligament sprains, or fractures. In addition to chronic pain in the neck/back. My management of patients was very goal oriented and I emphasised the importance of education for the patient which comes with accountability and a guided step by step rehab program.

Covered shifts where needed in different clinics around the Greater Toronto Area as a PTA. When covering, I became familiar with a patient's case very quickly and had a good understanding of what they were doing in their rehabilitation. Working with an Athletic Therapist and the Physiotherapist meant that there was constant communication regarding a patient's rehabilitation, frequency of appointments, and any concerns or changes regarding the patient's status.Performed manual therapy for patients, according to the Physiotherapist's treatment plan. This could include passive physiological movements of joints, passive accessory movements of joints grades I - IV, traction, or soft tissue work. Assisted patients with their exercise programmes to ensure they were performing them effectively and safely. Progressed exercises as appropriate according to the Physiotherapist's plan. Performed Re-Assessments under Physiotherapist's guidance, which included taking goniometer measurements, functional testing, manual muscle testing, and subjective review of patient's progress and rehabilitation program. Performed and/or prepared the set up of modalities, such as Ultrasound, TENS, Electrical Muscle Stimulation, Laser, Interferential Current, heat and ice packs. Maintained a clean exercise space, exercise equipment, and plinths for patients.

Responsible for setting patients up for a return assessment according to their Physiotherapist's needs, i.e. putting heat packs on the injury site, modalities, or stretching patients. Prepared the set up of modalities such as Ultrasounds, TENS, ShortWave Diathermy, Electrical Muscle Stimulation, Infrared Laser, heat or ice packs. Assisted patients with exercise programmes and ensured they performed their exercises effectively and safely.Communicated closely with the Physiotherapists to ensure effectiveness of each patient's treatment program and reported any concerns regarding patient's status.Maintained the cleanliness of all equipment and treatment rooms.Ensured adequate supply of clean towels and treatment supplies.PhysioWorks transitioned into CBI Health Group. In February and March 2015 I also gained experience working as the receptionist. I became familiar with WSIB and MVA forms and insurance company policies regarding billing and and health plans.

Pre-game: managed any current injuries with taping, stretching and correct warm up techniques.During game: acted as a pitch side first aid – attending to any injuries on field with appropriate acute treatment. Under supervision of a qualified Physiotherapist, assisted in clinics 1-2 times a week to assess and treat injured athletes and give appropriate rehabilitation programs.
