I have a long-standing interest and passion for translational research to better understand the basic mechanisms that drive developmental processes and disease. I am interested developing therapeutics to treat patients and diseases with high unmet need utilizing novel therapeutic strategies in the small molecule and biologics space.My current role focuses on initiating and supporting pipeline projects and discovery biology efforts in the rare and neurological disease space. My areas of expertise include cell line model development, CRISPR cell line engineering, CRISPR screens (pooled/arrayed), and flow cytometry/FACS experiments with experience in various biology techniques such as qRT-PCR, SDS-PAGE/western blotting, and fluorescence/confocal microscopy. I also have experience as a study director for in vivo efficacy studies in pipeline projects and characterizing new genetic mouse models of rare disease utilizing various biochemical assays and behavioral/locomotor tests.
