About Melanie Scambray

My name is Melanie Scambray, and I am currently a Senior at Chapman University. I am pursuing a B.A. in Strategic and Corporate Communication at the School of Communication with minors in Advertising at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and Psychology at Crean College. I recently began working as the Student Marketing Assistant for the Chapman University Alumni Engagement Program, an opportunity I am thoroughly excited about! I am also currently serving as the Vice President of Membership for the Eta Sigma chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma. This leadership experience has taught me a great deal of what it takes to help run an organization, and working closely with our chapter's Executive Board has refined my teamwork skills. This past summer, I worked as a Merchandising & Marketing Intern for Chamber Music Northwest in Portland, Oregon. This position taught me immense skills in marketing and social media communications while working under the company's Marketing & Communications Director. This summer, I also wrapped up my role as Campus Representative at Greek House (transitioned from Sales & Marketing Intern), where I learned crucial sales and marketing tactics and helped build valuable connections on my university campus. To fulfill my on campus work-study award, I worked during the Spring 2024 semester part-time as a Student Phonathon caller for the Chapman University Financial Aid office. This position developed my personal dales technique, and I fostered many donations to the university fund generating over $4,000 in donations. In Fall 2023, I spent a semester studying abroad at the American Institution of Foreign Study in Florence, Italy. This experience expanded my worldview and immersed me in Italian culture while furthering my education. I am eager to enhance my professional experiences in any field, and my strong work ethic, enthusiastic attitude, and unwavering drive to succeed make me an asset to any workplace.
