Worked in a public school in Barranquilla, Colombia, where I co-taught English alongside Colombian primary school teachers. Duties included but were not limited to lesson planning, working with approximately 200 students in total across six different classrooms, assisting the Colombian teachers with their English language skills, and overseeing a cultural project presented at the end of the year. Worked in La Universidad La Gran Colombia, a university in Bogotá, Colombia. Alongside English professors, I worked with approximately 250 university students across 10 different classrooms with the main goal of providing opportunities to engage with native speakers and improve conversational speaking skills. I worked alongside nine English professors and in classes ranging from beginner to advanced. I also held weekly conversation clubs and tutoring services.

Performed teaching assistant duties for Dr. Jason Gonzalez’s 1102 Introduction to Anthropology course in 2015. I was responsible for grading all six reading discussion assignments, five exams, and one final paper for approximately 65 students. I was also responsible for holding weekly office hours to meet with an average of five students per session to discuss grades and improve content mastery. In 2016, I assisted Dr. Laura German with assignments for her 1102 Introduction to Anthropology course and personal research. I was responsible for sourcing articles and books and organizing them for Dr. German’s research on land-grabbing in Africa.
