As a DPT student in a 9 week clinical internship I worked with outpatient patients and physical therapists to conduct evaluations, examinations, and treatment sessions. I worked with patients to find the best and most efficient care for the individual, and worked toward their specific goals.

DPT student intern on my 9 week clinical experience in inpatient rehab at Saint Luke's East. I worked with multiple staff members including PT, OT, nurses, rehab techs, social workers, and physicians and provided therapy for patients currently in the hospital. I spent a good amount of time in the ICU, as well as the normal floor working with patients to improve balance, endurance, and strength to promote functional mobility.

As an intern at BOOST Physical Therapy and Sports Performance I worked with sports trainers, aiding in the training of a variety of individuals. These athletes had an age range of ten years old to seniors in high school. I studied the effect of exercise on the body and worked with my supervisor to find ways to efficiently train these athletes. Additionally, I was able to occassionally shadow the physical therapists in their patient care.

Worked the front of the restaurant greeting, seating, and conversing with customers. I assisted waiters in running food to tables, bussed tables, and assisted in set up and clean up of private parties. I scheduled reservations and directed other hostesses in seating of customers.

Provided child care to three children ages 13, 10, and 1. Work included transportation and monitoring of all activities, while also providing a fun positive experience each day. Promoted challenging and educational activities to enforce the parental "no television" policy.
