Melanie has practiced psychotherapy since 1999 and her therapeutic approach to treatment includes Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Emotional Focused and Insight Oriented Therapy. Additionally, Melanie is skilled in group therapy and facilitating psycho-educational groups such as court-mandated co-parent divorce classes, bereavement groups and support groups for individuals struggling with a loved one with mental illness. She is certified in Suicide Prevention as a QPR Gatekeeper Trainer. Melanie has extensive experience working with individuals in crisis and transition. Her areas of expertise include but are not limited to: Divorce and separation, parenting challenges, grief and loss issues, adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, women's issues and relationship issues.
