As Production Control Manager, I am responsible for all supply chain activities within the plant. I manage teams in planning and in conveyance. The planning side is responsible for bringing in raw material while maintaining a lean inventory, managing vendors, scheduling production, and managing customer requirements. The conveyance team is responsible for receiving raw material, delivering raw material to the production lines in a timely manner, picking up finished goods, and efficiently warehousing material. My team is responsible for maintaining on time delivery to our customers while still working within a lean manufacturing environment. Part of my responsibilities also includes challenging my team to complete continuous improvement projects in order to eliminate waste. I was the Production Control Manager in Tremonton for just over a year and a half and just over two years in the Brigham City facility.

As the planning supervisor, I managed several planners who were responsible for creating and communicating a level schedule to the production floor. They also maintained inventory levels sufficient to meet customer requirements, but that also meet lean principles. As the supervisor, I also helped them strive to hit goals and make process improvements within and outside of our group. I acted as liaison between them and other functions to create a collaborative culture.

Ordered and managed inventory from assigned suppliers. I ensured the operations have inventory to run each day, while maintaining lean principles. This required skills in vendor management, inventory control, and other supply chain activities.

Also, in a separate position, I acted as a support for a package division in northern Utah. I did volume and stop projections and held operations to production standards.
