Hi! I'm Melanie and my passion is to normalize the spectrum of emotions, thoughts, and behaviors humans are instinctively hardwired to have! My plan is to help improve relationships (including with yourself) by expanding understanding, building self-awareness, and sharpening critical thinking skills. I hope to be your point of contact in normalizing therapy, reducing the stigma around mental health, and a general guide in your own journey of self-improvement. I strive to use a balanced brain of equal parts emotion and logic to assess dysfunctional patterns. I believe you are the expert in your own reality and I'm here to help sort through some of the things you might need help with like insecurities, low self-confidence, abuse recovery, and that pesky trauma that keeps resurfacing!I have over 13 years of experience in leadership, direct and indirect healthcare management, client care, childcare, and working in the public school district. I am currently finishing my third degree in the Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy program at Capella University.
