I believe that people requiring support with their health and care needs should receive a quality service that empowers them to achieve their hopes and aspirations with the individual being in control and driving the decisions wherever possible.I have experience working in a variety of settings and with people of all ages, from young people attending college to those requiring palliative care. I have supported people with dementia, learning difficulties, complex physical disabilities and those coming to the end of their lives.I have studied with the Open university focussing on Business and Management. I am ambitious and continuously seek to enhance my skills and knowledge. My passion for social care extends beyond my own development; I take great pleasure in supporting my colleagues to grow and enhance their skills. I am a Safeguarding trainer and chaired my organisation's employee council for two years.I have experience managing teams through times of change, including during the Covid-19 pandemic where I was the Manager of a respite service. I have previously held the registration of a CQC-registered care home.I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Young People's Services. My research project explored the Mental Capacity Act 2005.I am eager to connect with like-minded professionals and continue making a positive impact in the social care sector.
