Following successful closure of the Pine Bluff Chemical Demilitarization Facility (PBCDF), recruited by executive management to directly support the business process management and improvement initiatives of the Chemistry & Chemical Engineering (CC&E) Division. Provide Quality Management System (QMS) and statistical expertise to the CC&E Division, the Institute Quality Systems and the Institute Environmental & Safety Systems (ESS). Perform audits of 11 technical divisions comprising the SwRI operating structure. Provide support to the Umatilla Chemical Demilitarization Facility (UMCDF) and historical knowledge of the PBCDF project. Support contract proposal writing by developing quality plans, project work breakdown structure (WBS), and cost estimates.

Promoted to lead and develop a laboratory team of 100+ in the development, implementation, and continual improvement of a risk-based Quality Management System (QMS). Directly managed 11 scientists, statisticians, technical, and administrative personnel to include personnel actions such as salary adjustments, disciplinary actions, hiring/recruiting, and terminations. Directed Quality System Processes to include Document Control, Record Control, Management Reviews, QMS Planning, Qualification & Training, Monitoring and Measurement (Audits, Surveillance, Inspection, Trend Analysis, Statistical Process Control), Analysis of Data, Process Improvement, CAPA, and System Health Valuations & Reporting. Monitored the compliance/ performance of systems for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), hardware & software testing and management, equipment calibrations, condition reporting, change management, lessons learned, waste management, and chemical hygiene. Provided expertise in regulatory compliance, quality principles, organizational development, strategic analysis (SWOT), statistics, incident investigation, problem solving (root cause analysis, 8D), process engineering, human performance tools, and technical writing. Directly interfaced with client, state, and federal representatives as the management representative.

Recruited to establish and direct statistical analysis processes to assess compliance and performance of laboratory systems, instruments, methods and operators. Mentored staff on data quality objectives. Created routine and on-demand statistical assessment reports using SAS. Provided technical guidance on Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) development.
