I consider my career journey to be nothing short of a charmed one. Part luck, part sweat and a touch of magic, and all thanks to the best mentors anyone could ask for, I wake up every day feeling armed and excited to add value where I can.In college, I was in a fortuitous position to learn the nuts and bolts of headhunting; by Sophomore year, I had navigated my first executive-level salary negotiation unscathed. Fresh out of my undergrad, I walked straight into a Fortune100, best-in-class in-house recruiting team. When that chapter of my career closed, I was then part of the near-ground-floor rise of Business Process Outsourcing in Recruiting (RPO). And most recently, I had the fortune of being an integral part some of the best technology outfits in the industry, where my hidden knack for understanding technology was unearthed and nurtured. All told, I feel that I can channel, sympathize and empathize with all sides of the hiring matrix. I've been through build-outs, layoffs and everything in-between. So much learned, so much fun had, and so much more to go!To those who know me, the following work-life tenets which I try to live by will sound familiar:#1 - Ask WHY and HOW first, and the WHAT will come without trying.#2 - Ask WHY NOT, lots. Sometimes even several times a day is not enough.#3 - Everyone is an equal, no matter what letter of the alphabet one's title begins with.#4 - Do a bang up job ALWAYS no matter how small. Even if I'm the only one who gives a crap.#5 - AND MOST CRITICAL IS...Under no circumstance should I skip a meal. I walk the thin line of turning from hungry to "hangry" in no time flat. Trust me, it aint pretty when it happens. :)
