As a part time research assistant for my university, I was assigned to develop a Receipt Scanning Android application which works in tandem with a desktop version of the application to capture and store images of receipts in the database.I was also responsible for the back-end development of this application, hence I am familiar with Spring Framework and MongoDB.

Throughout the course of my internship, I provided my assistance in the SDLC of 3 J2EE retail internet banking web application projects for Cyber Village’s major clients. I supported my team in the release management of one of the projects in the testing environment, as well as developed a project guide (includes starting up virtual machine, deployment, local testing and more) for onboarding technical resources. I was also responsible for bug fixing, developing SQL scripts, exception handling, and validation, and performing SIT and UAT support. In addition, I also assisted the functional team in extracting business rules through reverse engineering, designed a new database schema, webpage UI and controller, and error troubleshooting for a Support Center application.This internship provided me with the experience of using tools and software including Rational Application Developer, DB2, VMware Workstation 12 Player (CentOS, Ubuntu), Gerrit Code Review, Git, WebSphere Portal, Putty, FileZilla, Eclipse Luna, Jenkins, Postman, DB Visualiser, SQuirrel. The programming languages I had to apply in work were Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Spring MVC, and SQL.
