In my role as account manager within the corporate team, I was responsible for managing a range of clients in the financial, FMCG and professional association sectors. I worked across all facets of account management for these clients, including media relations; corporate communication; internal communication; website redevelopment; and crisis communication, but specialised in content development. During my time at Buchan, I wrote a range of marketing material, websites and media materials.

Hansen Yuncken is Australia's largest privately owned construction company and has been in existence since 1918.In my role at HY, I was responsible for undertaking marketing activities for all of NSW. This involved:• Completing expressions of interest and tenders• Writing and producing the NSW quarterly newsletter• Writing and producing the national newsletter once a year, distributed across the entire company • Producing NSW sector specific marketing brochures • Assistance in media plans and media launches. This included liaison with the companies PR consultants and HY project managers to assist in strategy, organise photographers and produce any required marketing material• Implementation and maintenance of the CRM system. • Event management­• Management of Hansen Yuncken’s NSW various sponsorship agreements• Producing Hansen Yuncken’s entries into NSW and national awards • Member of internal National Business Development Committee• Member of internal website redevelopment committee• Member of ‘Building Value Awards’ evaluation panel• Liaising with graphic designers and printers to develop documents• Liaising with journalists/editors to provide information required for articles on Hansen Yuncken• Producing any advertisements placed in trade publications• Producing several sections of the monthly board report• Coordinating customer surveys• Assistance in the production of the annual Group Review (annual report)

In my role as proposals coordinator in the corporate affairs and communications department, I was responsible for putting together expressions of interest (EOIs), proposals and tenders for large government contracts, usually over $150 million. This involved:• Liaison with engineers, business development coordinators and bid managers/directors to develop strategy, coordinate writers and set deadlines• Liaison with graphic designers (in-house or external) to develop graphics strategy. This involves developing logos, colour schemes, folder covers, CD and box stickers and document templates• Editing words written by engineers to ensure correct grammar, spelling and punctuation, as well as checking readability. • Writing non-technical sections such as executive summaries, cover letters and CVs• Formatting the document when using Microsoft Word.
