From this internship I learned how to put into practice differentiating my instruction to a wide variety of students, who ranged from special needs to above grade-level students. I also used my content knowledge and personal experiences to employ suitable pedagogy and classroom management techniques, and I worked with the kindergarten team to organize and teach two PBL workshops. I attended staff meetings and in-services and participated in all teacher workdays, learning about Common Core, PBIS, and the integrated, 21st century classroom. I also met regularly with Olds’ SIP team and was involved in their strategic data-driven planning for subsequent school years.

Worked as a teaching assistant for high school Rhetoric track, helping students learn grammar, think critically, argue logically, and communicate precisely, efficiently, and convincingly through writing.
