Profile bio

About Melanie Rodriguez

In 2012, I volunteered at an amazing children’s home in Peru that changed my life forever. I am grateful for what the children and founders taught me every day. Their empathy, care for others, and dedication to making the world a better place continue to inspire me. Since then, I have worked with 20+ nonprofits and collaborated with dozens of social impact organizations in North America, Central America, and South America. I helped these organizations increase their fundraising revenue, build partnerships to better support the communities they serve, and leverage technology to advance literacy for all.Through this journey, my career has taken many wonderful turns. From evaluating the risk of a 200-million dollar banking portfolio to managing business development as the Executive Director of an international children’s foundation, each experience diversified my skillset and shaped who I am as a leader today. The constant throughout my career has always been the incredible power of my network. By connecting with thousands of social impact leaders, I have been able to raise funds for meaningful causes, foster cross-sector collaboration, and learn more than I could have ever imagined. Thank you to the role models and sector colleagues who have made this possible. What’s next? Hopefully, another decade of connecting, collaborating, and helping all communities have access to the education and opportunities they need to thrive!

Listed skills include Leadership, Public Speaking, Teamwork, Event Planning, and 17 others.
