  • Storycorps
    Manager, Hr Operations
    Storycorps Sep 2018 - Jan 2022
    Brooklyn, Ny, Us
My focus in this role is to implement tools and processes that leverage my teams time in the most efficient way. I utilize systems that improve the speed and accuracy in completing tasks, freeing up time to work on more impactful strategic projects. - I built out multiple frameworks within our HRIS system to successfully implement and record employee changes from our first union contract. Changes included accrual adjustments for multiple PTO banks, compensation changes, new benefit plan designs and options. - I was selected by my employer to represent in the Labor Management Committee which requires contract knowledge, diplomacy, effective listening, and negotiation skills. - Successfully applied for the PPP business relief loan, resulting in $1 million dollar loan disbursement. Managed headcount decisions in order to have this loan was converted completely to a grant. As a result, we avoided lay-offs or downsizing.- Conducted the research and lead the selection of StoryCorps first ATS system (implemented in January 2019). This system revealed gaps in our hiring/on-boarding processes, which has allowed us to build up better infrastructure around these processes, while remaining under budget.- Advised CFAO/Director of HR on new benefit plan designs prior to roll-out, including EE/ER contribution rates, benefit offerings, as well several branding changes and brochure and presentation designs.- Implemented Asana as a company-wide project management tool, which required buy-in from key stakeholders and departments. This system now allows for transparent cross-departmental collaboration unlike before.
