Melanie Mackintosh's career began in '93, working with Kylie and Danni Minogue’s Management team. She moved over to casting a year later and quickly established herself as a leading casting Director in Melbourne. Having worked at both Chameleon and Mullinars full time on various film, television and commercial projects, she decided in 2006 that it was time to take the leap and open the doors to her own company. Mackintosh Casting have embraced casting briefs from all corners of the globe, including negotiating high-end celebrity endorsements, working with seasoned professional actors, discovering child superstars, sourcing weird and wonderful characters and researching real people with fascinating stories. Credits include 'Time Addicts', feature film 'Paper Champions' feature film, 'Whose Line Is It Anyway? Australia', 'The Future is Expensive' for the ABC comedy showroom, 'The Beast' for Eddie Perfect & Simon Phillips and she has cast over 1500 TVCs equating to tens of thousands of auditions. She has worked with many award winning directors including Gia Coppola, Emma Freeman, Patrick Hughes, Nick Ball and Matthew Saville. Mel is a proud member and driving force behind establishing the Casting Guild of Australia has been an Executive Committee and TVC Committee member since 2013. She launched www.thebizbook.com.au; Australia’s first and only online resource directory and support community for actors as she believes in empowering Artists to help them make informed decisions for their careers.
