Strategic and functional HR support in a rapidly growing medtech (highly regulated) startup, which grew from less than 10 people to more than 30 people in a 2-year period.Key responsibilities: development of employee programs and policies, leader and employee coaching, oversight of Talent Attraction and Employer Brand strategies, development of compensation practices, performance management, employee onboarding, benefits management, employee relations.

Key business advisor and support to a team of less than 10 employees in a medtech startup. Provided strategic planning and alignment, operational support, People and Culture leadership, and functional support in an ambiguous and changing environment with high levels of regulation.

•Lead a team of up to 20 Outreach staff to ensure efficient operations, high outplacement candidate engagement, and satisfactory corporate client and candidate support.Managed relationship with contact centre vendor (InContact) for Outreach team.• Coordinated upgrade of systems, ensuring little or no downtime for revenue-generating team.• Implemented live chat (new channel of contact for team), providing candidates with alternate way to connect; engaged reticent candidates, capturing ‘lost’ revenue.• Spearheaded Outreach team’s use of Google+ as collaboration platform, providing team with 1-stop site for communication, information-gathering, and team-building; streamlined resources, increasing engagement and efficiency.

•Managed multiple reduction-in-force (outplacement) projects, for approximately 50 to 100 high-profile clients per year, across banking, retail, automotive, healthcare, and technology industries.•Liaised between corporate clients and terminating managers, reinforcing specific exit messaging and instructions duringtraining sessions while adhering to best practices for reduction-in-force procedures.o Identified gaps in logistics, minimizing risk to client by addressing potential issues before event date.•Coordinated people / material resources and budgets for events ranging from 10 to 200 candidates (individuals referred for outplacement services) exiting company, meeting tight time frames.•Provided support for client stakeholders during difficult times, enabling respectful, professional employee departures and minimizing risk of litigation.•Selected as a member of Right Management's North American Diversity Task Team•Guest lectured to Human Resources (HR) students (George Brown College and Toronto Metropolitan University) on termination best practices and change management, growing profile and brand awareness of Right Management.
