As a community organizer with the Southeast Alaska Conservation Council, my primary role was to engage a variety of community, tribal, state, and federal stakeholders on conservation and subsistence issues throughout the Tongass National Forest. Organized stakeholder meetings and provided regulatory comment on state and federal topics pertaining to the Tongass National Forest and surrounding communities.

Served as Brownfields Coordinator for EPA pilot project intended to revitalize mine-scarred land under the US EPA Brownfields program. Organized and facilitated community awareness forums, project visioning sessions for seven West Virginia communities, and project advisory committee meetings for the EPA Brownfields pilot project. Responsible for community outreach and education efforts in the Kelly’s Creek Watershed, including writing and publishing a monthly newsletter, organizing volunteer activities, and engaging local students in watershed conservation and education efforts.
