Multicultural Greek Council’s goal is to unify the culturally based Greek organizations at UCSD. As the previous Philanthropy Chair, I was in charge of researching philanthropic events, such as the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, for the fraternities and sororities in MGC to participate in. MGC is here to serve the university community through its distinct cultures, academic agendas, community service projects, and most importantly, its outlet for social interaction.

Sigma Omicron Pi is a Multicultural Greek sorority that is based on the four objectives of unity, friendship, leadership and service. I was the Dance Chair for the 2010-2011 school year in which I choreographed and taught my sisters of Sigma Omicron Pi various dance routines to perform at our ICC (Inter-Chapter Council) Conference, as well as, the Fundraising Chair in which I researched and coordinated fundraising opportunities, such as our annual pie auction.

NSU is a Japanese American club in which members learn about the Japanese culture and participate in community service events. I was the Community Outreach Chair for the 2009-2010 school year. My duties and obligations as an officer were to coordinate community service events that members of NSU could participate in.

As a Girl Scout, I took on multiple leadership roles and served the community. I also completed and received my Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards. The Girl Scout Gold Award is the equivalent to the Boy Scout Eagle Award.

After summer school at El Camino College, I worked at Caffeine Coffee House as a Barista. I prepared an assortment of caffeinated drinks, smoothies, tapioca drinks, Italian sodas, etc., took orders from customers, restocked supplies when needed, provided excellent customer service and a positive environment for customers to enjoy their beverages, and worked as a cashier.
