About Melanie Petch

For me, a happy and healthy workplace is where I can support others, especially those who find it hard to champion themselves. As a natural collaborator, I love working with all kinds of people to share ideas, support and connect. I've always done a lot of listening and rapport-building in my career, which often means I’m called upon to build new partnerships. I know that I'm at my best when I’m given the freedom to think creatively, especially when finding solutions to career-related conundrums! I have many years of experience of working with neuro-divergent individuals, and I'm also a Mental Health First Aider and offer support to people with mental ill-health. These skills have been developed and practised throughout my time as a senior academic across three East Midlands universities, and in my current role with Leicestershire Partnership Trust in the Community Mental Health Team. In my spare time, I am training to become a therapist.
